Most of my online income so far came from the deal that I closed in a couple of webmaster forums. And most of the deal is about advertising and article writing services. Webmaster forums is where most of website owners hangout for acquiring and sharing new knowledge. Since my blog is about Internet Marketing and Earn Money Online, so I targeted these niche forums and I advertise my services to them.
Why Webmaster Forums
‘Big’ webmasters are willing to spend a lot of dollars on advertising and promoting their websites. But, these webmasters are not looking for random blogs. In order to get their attention, your space must reach some standard before you can agglomerate them. One of the measures taken to determine the quality of certain blogs is of course to take a look at the amount of unique visitors. The more visitors you get, the more chances of getting advertisers to promote their website on yours.
Alexa rank is one of the tools used to measure traffic rank of your blog. PageRank is also an addition factor to attract advertisers to your blog, but it isn’t the most important factor. IMO, you can still summon a lot of advertisers if your traffic count is much more profound than your PR.

Earlier this month I posted about a contest which has been held by LifeisColourful.com owner. I am amazed with how many prizes that winners can possibly get, of course if they are lucky enough to wint. I decided to join the contest and I managed to learn something throughout the competition. That is, by organizing a contest, you can gather a lot of attention from other bloggers to contribute to your blog and it is a nifty idea to promote your blog. Here’s why you too must start a competition for your blog.

The owner of LifeisColourful.com create a format where every contestant must stumble, fave on technorati and create a post where some anchor texts addition is compulsory. These actions are favorable for the owner of the competition if they can get a lot of bloggers to compete. Stumble and technorati fave are good for traffic where anchor texts in a post is very good for search engine optimization.
But things might be harder if your contest is not attractive enough to summon bloggers to actually do that actions.
So, if you want to start a competition, here’s two simple and important things you can possibly implement to agglomerate the bloggers to join your competition:
- Attractive prizes is a must.
- Keep the rules simple.

- E1d first arrived at this blog when he talked about John Chow advertising behavior. He has a well-structured blog about technology and entertainment. I like the name of his blog, TechTarik.net
- Johnbaem commented on my fast bellying increment. He is relatively new to this blog. His blog is about life and his personal thought, his blog’s tag line “The Importance of Smile” really captured my eyes.
- Ika is a new member to this community. He commented on the questions that been asked by syam. She writes about life on her personal blog. You can get to know more about her at her My Name is Ika blog.
- farahaznil came and give thought on my current theme. Farahaznil writes about personal thought and ramblings in his blog
