I am attracted to a post in Randa Clay’s blog about Do Follow and No Follow link attribute. What are these things? Well, It’s about a repulsive idea between the blog owners and the search engines. Almost all blogging platform is inserted with a code somewhere that enable this “nofollow” in order to stop comment spam and they’ll not be count as an inbound link. Most blog owners think that this “nofollow” thing is a not a nifty idea to appreciate their readers.
That’s exactly what Randa Clay is thinking, she started this campaign to fight the “nofollow” by establishing the idea of “Ifollow” movement. In addition, she designed some great “I Follow” logos. I am joining this movement to spread the link love! I’ve decided to put one of the logos in the post to show that I’m now with the movement.

What Can You Do About It?
You can join the movement and turn off the “nofollow” and start appreciating your readers. How to turn it off? Well, it is all depending on your blogging platform. If you are a WordPress user, you can download the plugin here (the instructions are provided on the page), see this page if you are a Moveable Typepad user and modify your template here if you are a blogger user.
You can get the wonderful logos from Randa Clay’s blog at her original I Follow post.

I’m probably the last person to know this, but I still want to spread it to my readers. Busby Web Solutions is organizing a challenge which offered a grand total $8,500 of prizes. That’s a huge sum of money and huge sum of investment. I think that investment seems to paid of as of today, more than 300 entrants and each of them carry busby web solutions brand in their blog/website. The challenge concept is on SEO or search engine optimization.
A little bit About The Challenge
Busby Web Solutions decided to design this challenge based on search engine optimization. They gave out a key phrase for the contestant to compete. This time, the key phrase is Busby SEO Challenge. The rule is simple, whoever finish top on Google until the winner announcement, on 31st July, he/she wins. The result will be taken from google.com SERP. Here’s some of the rules made by Busby Web Solutions:
I Am Officially Busbied
On June 6th, I started a new blog about Busby SEO Challenge. Yes, I joined the competition, though I know it’s too late for me to compete against those seo experts that has started earlier than me. But, I’m joining it not to win, but for the purpose of testing and experimenting new ideas in SEO. Though I did not want to win, I am expecting an honorable position at the end of the competition. Pray for me!

Search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) are both great online marketing technique to increase traffic to your website. But both are completely different in implementation. Search engine marketing is the sponsored results where you can see in many search engines. The owner of those sponsored ads will buy (yep, it costs money) certain keywords for cost per click (CPC) that’ll ensure their website always rank on the first page of the search results. SEM can be handy when it comes to keywords that are impossible to beat. If you want an instant result, SEM is the best choice.
SEO on the other hand, is a combination of a couple of techniques that makes your website rank higher on the search engines result position. It involves optimizing the layout, title and footer, link building, and content. The best thing about SEO is it doesn’t involve money, i.e it’s FREE.
Which one to choose, SEM or SEO
Many webmasters concluded that if you choose SEO, you should stick with it, concentrate and focus, don’t ever get involve with SEM and vice versa. I agree with that but sometimes, both SEM and SEO must be parallel and in hand. Depending on your budget and your target.
Once you did the research on the keyword, it’s time for you to set the target. If the keyword is hard to compete, SEM is the definite choice if you wants an instant result. During the campaign, continue to strengthen your website by doing the SEO. You will get your desired traffic and at the same time crawling your website to the top of search engine result position.
For a keyword that is not competitive (in my scale, 1000000 results and below), doing just SEO is enough to market your website and get the organic traffic.
